How to nominate the ASA as your Standing Proxy
Tired of filling in forms to appoint the ASA as your proxy for each meeting, for every listed company you own?
You know it’s important and that’s why you do it. You want to make your voice heard and your vote count.
If you would like the ASA to simply do all the work for you, complete a form (links below) to advise the share registry for a particular company that you have appointed the ASA as your Standing Proxy at all future company meetings until further notice.
Post or fax the form to the relevant share registry - the contact details are on the form.
You will be safe in the knowledge that we will represent you at company meetings, making sure your vote always counts. You will never have to appoint the ASA as your proxy again - well at least for the parcel of securities registered under that SRN or HIN.
If you sell or otherwise dispose of a stock or change your HIN or SRN, the standing proxy automatically lapses. You need do nothing further. If you acquire more of the same HIN or SRN (such as via a dividend reinvestment plan) your Standing Proxy will apply to these new shares as well.
If you acquire additional stocks for which you haven't completed a Standing Proxy, or change your SRN or HIN, simply download, complete and mail another form to the relevant registry, and your Standing Proxy will apply to the new stocks.
Should you want to revoke your Standing Proxy for one or all your stocks, simply contact the share registry and advise them of any change you wish to make.
