Adelaide Investor Hour - 20 October
Guest presentation from Leigh Creek Energy Limited
Energy for the Earth: the Leigh Creek Story
Tony Lawry, Head of Investor Relations, Leigh Creek Energy Ltd
As members may know, something very exciting is on the cards for Leigh Creek Energy (ASX:LCK): being a claimed net carbon neutral production of the crop fertiliser urea.. As to LCK’s costs, outlined below, they likely mean strongly competive sales both domestically and internationally. Hence we have a considerable economic stimulus for South Australia and the northern Flinders Ranges
Average nominal operating costs are forecast to be $109 per tonne which is within the lowest cost quartile of the global urea production cost curve. Pre-tax leveraged net present value is Aud $3.4 billion, with an internal rate of return of 30%. Let’s put that against a market cap of circa $100m and possibilities for investment emerge, but they can only be attractive if LCK has the capital and expertise to reach production.
Tony Lawry is responsible for LCK's Corporate, Government and Investor Relations. He chairs the board of directors of Ark Energy Limited, an unlisted public company with tenements in far north South Australia, similiar to LCK's. Prior to working with LCK, Tony had a careeer in the public and privated sector in commercial property management and development. Tony is a graduate of the University of Adelaide and Univesrity of South Australia.
