About This Presenter

Richard Irving, CEO
Based in Silicon Valley, Richard is Chairman and CEO of Fluence Corporation and previously co-founded Pond Venture Partners in 1997. He brings over 30 years' experience in venture capital, corporate management, marketing and engineering with start-ups in US, Israel, UK, Australia, France, Ireland, Spain, & China. He has driven over $3B of value creation mainly from initial startup. Richard has been involved in numerous IPOs, acquisitions, and private financings. Richard's expertise includes water, hardware, software, semiconductors, wireless, digital health, energy efficiency, & materials. Prior Boards include 4Home (now Motorola Mobility), Gigle Networks (now Broadcom), Transitive (now IBM), Microcosm Communications (now Mindspeed), Nanotech Semiconductor (now Gennum), picoChip (now Intel), and SealedMedia (now Oracle). Richard has a B.Sc. (1st Class Hons.) and an M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Manchester University.
