ASA is a non-profit organisation that protects and advances the interests of investors.  In furthering its aims the ASA offers general information through its website and publications.  The ASA does not have an Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL) under Part 7 of the Corporations Act 2001.

By accessing or using this site in any way, viewing or browsing the site, or adding your own content to the site, you are agreeing to be bound by these Terms of Use.

Use of the site

Creating an account

Whether you are a member of ASA or a non-member, you need to create an account in order to purchase products and services from the website and register to attend meetings or education events. Members may be entitled to receive discounts when purchasing products or services, or registering for events, via the website. Access to some areas of the website may also be restricted to members only.

Our website hosts a member-only forum and member communities, where members can exchange views and information. While we invite members to share their opinions and questions in this way, they must not be used to distribute spam messages, post commercial advertisements, or spread links to malicious or dangerous websites. We do retain the right to moderate any comment or written content submitted to the ASA website and to remove any content we deem to have violated our policies.

We reserve the right at all times to disclose any information as necessary to satisfy any applicable law, regulation, legal process or governmental request, or to edit, refuse to post or to remove any information or materials, in whole or in part, at our sole discretion.

We do not claim ownership of the materials you (including feedback and suggestions) post on any of part of our website. Prices

Prices are correct at the time they appear on the website. However, ASA reserves the right to change prices at any time. Prices may have a goods and services tax ("GST") component which you may check at point of payment in the shopping cart. GST may apply depending on the item or product you are purchasing.

Termination

ASA reserves the right to terminate your access to the site and the related services, at any time and without any advance notice.

Links to Other Websites

Our site contains a number of links to other websites and online resources that are not owned or controlled by the ASA. ASA has no control over, and therefore cannot assume responsibility for, the content or general practices of any of these third party sites and/or services. Therefore, we strongly advise you to read the entire terms and conditions and privacy policy of any site that you visit as a result of following a link that is posted on our site.

Credit Cards

All credit card, charge card and debit bank account information is processed by SecurePay. It is done so within the SecurePay Data Base Vault, protected behind two forms of encryption methodologies and independently audited under PCI DSS. Website unavailability

ASA does not accept responsibility in the event that the website is unavailable to you due to any computer downtime, malfunction or such other event outside the control of ASA.

Governing Law

This agreement is governed by the laws of the state of New South Wales, Australia and you consent to the non-exclusive jurisdiction and venue of courts in New South Wales, Australia in any and all disputes arising out of or relating to the use of this website.

Changes to This Agreement

ASA reserves the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. We do so by posting and drawing attention to the updated terms on this site. Your decision to continue to visit and make use of the site after such changes have been made constitutes your formal acceptance of the new Terms of Use.

Therefore, we ask that you check and review this Agreement for such changes on an occasional basis. Should you not agree to any provision of this Agreement or any changes we make to this Agreement, we ask and advise that you do not use or continue to access the ASA website immediately.
