Your Board is calling for nominations from those interested in being an ASA Director, as we do every year in line with our Constitution. This year we are seeking interest from members who are actively involved within the organisation, particularly members who convene member meetings and/or participate in company monitoring.
Experience in these roles at either ASA or AIA will be highly valued, as will general leadership and governance skills. Your Board currently includes five active ASA volunteers, and we wish to continue to have a strong level of volunteer representation. Essential skills required are:
• Extensive experience with ASA/AIA as a member and volunteer
• Strong leadership skills and experience
Desirably, an applicant would possess a good proportion of the following experience/skills:
• Human Resource Management.
• Have worked in an ASX Listed Company and/or a Not For Profit organisation.
• Have experience in a Membership organisation.
• Strategy Development.
• Strategic Marketing.
• Information Technology.
• Risk and Compliance Management.
• Contemporary Corporate Governance.
• General Business Acumen.
• Stakeholder Engagement/Communication.
Board members are expected to act with Ethics, Integrity, Courage (to challenge and explore), Work Collaboratively, Exercise Sound Judgement, Think Innovatively, possess good Listening Skills and have a Genuine Interest in ASA and its Business.
