Dr Richard Dammery is an experienced company director. In addition to his role as Chair of The Australian Ballet, Richard is also Chair of WiseTech Global Ltd (ASX: WTC), and he serves on the boards of Australia Post, Salta Properties Pty Ltd and Pinchgut Opera.

Previously, Richard was the Chair of Creative Partnerships Australia, at the time the Australian Government’s primary body supporting private sector and philanthropic investment in the creative industries.  He also served on the boards of Aussie Broadband Limited (ASX:ABB) and Nexus Day Hospitals Group.

As a senior executive, Richard has held leadership positions in a number of large Australasian listed companies, both in general management and as a corporate lawyer.

He holds a BA (Hons) and an LLB from Monash University, an MBA from the University of Melbourne, and a PhD from the University of Cambridge (Trinity College). He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and is a member of their Corporate Governance Committee. Richard also continues as an adjunct professor at Monash University’s Business School where he has taught corporate governance in the MBA programs.
