As CIO, Simon’s role is to utilise his investment experience (especially in Multi-Asset) to deliver a solutions-oriented approach to the investment challenges our clients face in Australia. In addition to this, Simon also worked alongside the CEO and Group co-heads of Investment on the strategic evolution of Schroders’ Australian investment capability.

Previously, as the Head of Multi-Asset, Simon was responsible for Schroders’ Australian Multi-Asset capability. This included responsibility for managing the investment process, setting the investment strategy including asset allocation decisions and managing overall portfolio risk. He was also most recently the lead portfolio manager for the Schroder Real Return Fund. Simon has 35 years’ investment management experience, having started his career at AMP before moving to Schroders in 2003 where he has held the roles of Head of Strategy, and Head of Fixed Income and Multi-Asset which also included responsibility for Schroders’ Australian Fixed Income and Private Debt capabilities.

Simon is regarded as one of the leading Multi-Asset investors globally and is widely recognised as an innovator and thought leader, particularly within the absolute return and objective-based style of Multi-Asset investing.
